I am Kush Khair, a Chartered Accountant based in Mumbai. My professional experience has been built across statutory audit, taxation, financial analysis, portfolio advisory and corporate finance.

Before moving into corporate finance and treasury, I worked in statutory audit, where I gained practical exposure to financial statements, internal controls, accounting standards and tax audits. I subsequently worked on portfolio advisory and financial planning assignments before moving into a corporate finance and treasury role.

This combination of corporate finance, audit, tax and investment experience influences how I look at numbers today. I am less interested in looking at a number in isolation and more interested in understanding where it came from, what it means, what assumptions sit behind it and what decision it should support. This website is an extension of that approach. It brings together practical tools, tax and finance resources, calculations, observations and explanations that I believe are useful when dealing with real financial questions.

For two years, I independently managed the audit work for the NVOCC division, Allcargo’s largest division during that period. I enjoy badminton and follow Formula 1 and cricket. I hold a Taekwondo black belt, earned a state-level poomsae silver medal and have trained more than 35 students in poomsae techniques.

I have also participated in autism-awareness activities at NeuroGen Brain and Spine Institute. Sport, teaching and volunteering continue to shape how I learn and work with people.
